Karkarook Park was built on the site of a former quarry and is now managed by Parks Victoria. It has a lovely lake, and extensive walking paths around the lake and through the rest of the park.
Most of the park is on lead, but there is a small off leash section in the northern section of the park.
In summer months you need to watch out for Snakes. They are often spotted sun bathing on the rocks around the lake.
You are also likely to spot small bunnies hopping around the bushes, and horses at the riding school next door.
